The success of our organisation
demonstrates the
potential of visitor contribution fundraising.
Interested in Visitor Payback in your area? If you represent a public body, conservation organisation or tourism group and are looking to develop your own approach, we can guide your steps through our extensive experience and expertise. We can outline methods of gaining continued support from public agencies, assessing realistic core costs, employing a project officer, linking tourism businesses with a conservation project and how the private sector can use this as a marketing tool. Learning Visits We can arrange Learning Visits of any length to allow you to see first hand the impact that this approach has had in Cumbria. Board members and key fundraising businesses will be available for you to speak to. Groups that have participated on these visits have understood the benefit of this approach, and private sector businesses participating in such visits have been inspired to try fundraising within their own organisations. Group Presentations Claire Chapman, Partnership Manager will visit your organisation, and present to key stakeholders, explaining how such an approach can work in your local area. Further Support If you would like further support in establishing a scheme, this can be arranged, with recruitment assistance and mentoring support available for new staff.
"The learning visit which was
arranged by Claire was an excellent example of how businesses within
different National Parks can learn
and apply examples of best practice for the overall benefit
of the UK's national parks. The balance between Claire's excellent
presentation on the background and activity of the Tourism
and
Conservation Partnership, visits to businesses who supported
projects and the chance to see projects being undertaken at first
hand was
exactly what was required. Feedback from participants
was unanimously positive with a real desire to apply a similar approach
within
the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park."
