Experience Ullswater, 'England's most beautiful lake' on board one of Ullswaters 'Steamers'. Purpose built pier houses at Glenridding and Pooley Bridge overlook the lake and both make an ideal starting point to enjoy the full eight-mile, two hour lake cruise from early spring to late autumn.
M.Y. Raven and M.Y. Lady of the Lake are two 19th century steamers, now converted to oil, cruising on Ullswater. M.V. Lady Dorothy is their smaller sister, who joined them in 2001. They have recently been joined by a new vessel, Lady Wakefield, who was launched in a ceremony performed by HRH Princess Alexandra.

Waterfoot Caravan Park, in the grounds of a Georgian mansion
overlooking Ullswater, is an ideal location for touring van and motorhome
holidays.
The Park enjoys a generally quiet family orientated character even in
the busier holiday periods, with 24 hour video security. The award winning
site consistently rated at 5 Stars, by the English Tourism Council, is
well laid out with serviced static caravan pitches and an excellent touring
area with a mix of hardstanding for ease of siting and lawn areas for
awnings or recreation.
The beautiful woodland setting provides shelter and a managed environment
for wildlife, which resulted in Waterfoot gaining the David Bellamy,
British Holiday and Home Parks Gold Conservation Award every year since
2000.
